FMC is the Food Machinery & Chemical Corporation which
acquired Bolens in 1946. In 1988, FMC Bolens was sold
and purchased by GardenWay Inc., of Troy, New
York. In 2001 GardenWay filed for bank-
ruptcy and was purchased by MTD
Products Inc. Cleveland,
Ohio, which owns the
Bolens name
today.
