Lynn Pichla, known to her friends as LynnLynn or Kookie,
left the bonds of earth on the morning of May 26, 2006
due to a lengthy illness. She left behind her husband
Leo, daughters Tara and Tracy, her dearest granddaughter
Shelby Lynn, and her niece Melissa who helped care for
her during her final days. She was also fondly remembered
and loved by tens of thousands of daily readers who
visited the treasures she found as she surfed the net.
LynnLynn considered herself a connoisseur of the Chicago
Style Hot Dog remembering the days when she had owned a
small hot dog shop that was a gathering spot for the
local youths. Her hobbies included her websites linking
to thousands of recipes, online greeting card sites, and
the history of her hometown of Chicago. Having been born
in 1953, she loved to chat about life in Chicago during
the sixties and seventies. Lynn collected clocks. She loved Thomas Kincaid, but she hated sports.
Very few people knew that LynnLynn was a quadriplegic,
the victim of a swimming pool accident that had left
her with the use of only one hand and bedridden. She
purchased one of the first Web-tv boxes made and
became an expert in the creation of web pages with the
web-tv and besides moderating several help lists for
web-tv owners, she was a contributor to many more. Her
LynnLynns Links mailing list provided an outlet for
many poets and page builders to display their works.
She was never to busy to help and could be found online
at all hours of the day and night complaining not of
a lack of sleep but a slow connection speed that kept
her from doing more.
The world will be an emptier place without Lynn but
we still find comfort in the fact she is no longer
in pain, able to walk again, and perhaps even has a
T-3 connection to the net...
