Your Blessings
Your blessing, GOD, is like a gift
Of silver and of gold
And sometimes it is almost more
Than I have strength to hold.
Some You shower so much joy
And happiness on me
That life is like a paradise
Of perfect ecstasy.
And that is why I do not mind
The lightning and the rain
Or any hail or thunderbolt
That shakes my window-pane.
I have my disappointments and
My share of earthly grief
But always I remember, GOD
That there is some relief.
Because when I have said my prayer
I hear Your soft reply
And when I lift my eyes I see
