SEPTEMBER 2013

GLEN LYON/LEE

September 07 - Police responded to a Coal Street residence for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival there were no physical injuries, both parties agreed to separate for the night.

September 15 - A Wilkes-Barre man was taken into custody during a traffic stop for DUI Controlled Substance.

WANAMIE

September 12 - A male and female were taken into custody in St. Mary's Cemetery for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana while they were visiting a friend's grave site.

September 27 - Three males were taken into custody in St. Mary's Cemetery for possession of a small amount of marijuana while they were visiting the grave site of a friend and family member.

SHEATOWN

September 03 - An officer on routine patrol observed a known wanted female walking on Fair Lane. When she observed the Officer she fled on foot. The female was apprehended on Union Street in Nanticoke and charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

ALDEN

September 11 - A Wilkes-Barre man was taken into custody during a traffic stop for possession of a small amount of marijuana, use of an altered registration place and several summaries.

September 15 - An Alden man stated that someone had entered two of his vehicles and stole GPS units and tools.

RIDGEVIEW

September 11 - A Nanticoke man was cited with harassment and disorderly conduct after police were called to investigate an assault on the IP Road.

September 18 - Several vehicles were broken into during the early morning hours and several items taken. A few days later we received a call from the Stonington Police Department in Connecticut. They stated that they had arrested multiple individuals in their jurisdiction that had multiple GPS units belonging to Newport Township residents in their vehicle. These individuals were allegedly traveling from Florida to New Hampshire and getting off of the highways and breaking into vehicles to steal items. They were apprehended in Connecticut for the same offenses and for Burglary. In all cases in Newport Township all the vehicles that had items taken from them were left unlocked.

OCTOBER

GLEN LYON/LEE

October 05 - A Hanover Township man was taken into custody during a traffic stop for DUI. During a search incident to arrest a baggie containing marijuana was taken out of his pocket.

October 09 - A Wilkes-Barre man and woman were charged with harassment after sending several text messages and phone calls to a Glen Lyon woman.

Three males were cited following a physical alteration on Arch Street.

October 18 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody following a physical domestic at his residence.

October 22 - A Glen Lyon man reported a UPS package was stolen off his front porch.

A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody following a physical domestic at his residence.

WANAMIE

No incidents to report.

SHEATOWN

October 22 - A Sheatown man was taken into custody during a traffic stop for DUI.

ALDEN

October 14 - Two juveniles were charged after shooting bb guns at construction workers.

October 30 - An Avoca man was arrested on a warrant of this department for failure to finish home improvement work after taking money from a Sharp Street resident.

RIDGEVIEW

No incidents to report.
