AUGUST 2013

GLEN LYON

August 01 - Police responded to Ken Pollock Apartments for the report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. The female was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

August 04 - Police were dispatched to an East Main Street residence for the report of a domestic. Charges were filed against a 16 year old male for assaulting a 9 year old male.

August 07 - Two juveniles were cited with criminal mischief after breaking a window of a West Enterprise Street residence.

August 10 - A Glen Lyon man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence following an accident at the intersection of East Main Street and First Street during the early morning hours.

August 10 - A Wilkes-Barre man was taken into custody following a traffic stop after he proceeded to flee from police in the vehicle and create a second accident at the intersection of East Main Street and First Street.

August 21 - Police were dispatched to the area of MJ Beer Deli for the report of an intoxicated female passed out on the sidewalk. The female was taken to the hospital by ambulance and cited with public intoxication.

August 29 - Two Glen Lyon men were taken into custody for Burglary charges after being apprehended leaving a commercial business building on West Enterprise Street with stolen metal in the vehicle.

August 29 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody following a physical Domestic Dispute at a Chestnut Street residence. The man was also charged with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass after breaking in through the front door.

August 29 - A Glen Lyon man and an Allentown man were taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and Loitering and Prowling at Night after being apprehended inside of a commercial building on West Enterprise Street.

WANAMIE

August 03 - A Wanamie man was arested following a physical domestic dispute at his Vandermark Road residence.

August 05 - A Wanamie man reported his air compressor stolen from his Old Newport Street residence.

August 10 - A Wanamie man was taken into custody following a physical domestic at his West Railroad Street residence.

August 21 - A Glen Lyon woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Vandermark Road due to an active warrant for her arrest.

August 22 - Police responded to an Old Newport Street residence for the report of a stolen construction trailer. Investigation in on-going.

August 24 - A Mountain Top man was taken into custody following a traffic stop on the West Kirmar Parkway. He was arrested for False ID and providing alcohol to minors. A Plymouth man was also taken into custody due to an active arrest warrant and juveniles were cited for underage alcohol offenses.

August 28 - A Wanamie man was charged with Simple Assault following a fight at his West Main Avenue residence.

SHEATOWN

August 05 - Police reported to Prince Street for the report of individual shooting guns in the woods. Upon arrival officers from Newport Township and Nanticoke City searched the area. A garage was struck by a bullet. Investigation is on-going.

August 08 - An Alden man was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence during a traffic stop on Robert Street.

August 10 - A Nanticoke Juvenile was cited with public intoxication and possession of alcohol after he was found walking on River Road.

August 21 - A Nanticoke man was arrested for Fleeing from police and various other charges after failing to stop his motorcycle and leading a chase into Nanticoke.

August 27 - Police responded to a Robert Street residence for the report of a stolen vehicle. Investigation is on-going.

August 27 - A Glen Lyon woman was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence during a traffic stop on Robert Street.

ALDEN

August 22 - An Ashley woman was taken into custody on an active warrant at Piestraks dur to her trying to obtain a firearm with an active warrant.

RIDGEVIEW

JULY 2013


GLEN LYON

July 03 - Police were dispatched to a Market Street residence for the report of a domestic disturbance. No physical altercation took place and both parties agreed to separate for the night.

July 04 - Police were dispatched to a Newport Street residence for the report of a domestic disturbance. No physical altercation took place and both parties agreed to separate for the night.

July 08 - A Shickshinny man was taken into custody following a traffic stop on East Main Street for possession of drug paraphernalia and heroin.

July 16 - Police were dispatched to a West Enterprise Street residence for the report of a break-in with copper piping and electrical missing. INVESTIGATION IS ON-GOING.

July 16 - A Larkesville man was taken into custody on a warrant out of our Department for charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. This was due to a stolen ATV out of a garage on Arch Street from February.

July 17 - An unknown male entered the Variety Stop and robbed the cashier at knife point. INVESTIGATION IS ON-GOING.

July 26 - A Hunlock Creek man was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Main Road in Lee for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 27 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody following a physical domestic dispute at his East Main Street residence. The man also had a warrant for his arrest out of the Sheriff's Department for failure to appear.

SHEATOWN

July 14 - A Sheatown man was taken into custody after a physical domestic at his Old Newport Street residence. He was also charged with resisting arrest.

July 18 - Police responded to a Non Reportable Motor Vehicle accident in the Friendly Food-Mart parking lot.

July 31 - Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Robert Street.

ALDEN

July 01 - A Glen Lyon man was charged with public drunkenness after being found walking around a disabled vehicle at 2:40 A.M. on Robert Street.

July 12 - Police responded to a Non Reportable Motor Vehicle accident on Pine Street. A construction worker backed into a parked car.

July 22 - Police responded to a Sharpe Street residence for the report of a burglary with items missing. INVESTIGATION IS ON-GOING.

July 24 - Police cited an East Kirmar Avenue resident with harassment after they arrived and found her intoxicated and fighting with her neighbors.

JUNE 2013


GLEN LYON

June 06, 2013 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody following a domestic dispute at his East Main Street residence.

June 16, 2013 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody during a traffic stop on East Main Street for Driving Under the Influence.

June 17, 2013 - A Spring Street resident reported that someone had damaged his home by putting small holes in the exterior. It appears to have been done by some form of a b.b. gun or pellet rifle.

June 27, 2013 - Police were dispatched to a Railroad Street home for the report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival it was found to be a verbal domestic with no physical violence. Both parties agreed to separate for the night.

WANAMIE

June 15, 2013 - Police responded to a Vandermark Road residence for the report of a dispute. Upon arrival all parties agreed to separate.

SHEATOWN

June 19, 2013 - Police responded to Guardian Elder Care for the report of a patient possibly assaulted by a staff member. Investigation is on-going.

June 30, 2013 - A Sheatown man was taken into custody following a physical domestic at his Robert Street residence.

ALDEN

No Incidents to Report.

RIDGEVIEW

June 03, 2013 - Verizon workers reported that over the previous week someone had removed copper wiring from their tower at the top of Ridgeview.


MAY 2013


GLEN LYON

May 1, 2013 - An Apple Street residence was searched and several key items for methamphetamine production were found. Investigation is on-going.

May 5, 2013 - A Mountain Top man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol during a traffic stop on East Main Street.

May 6, 2013 - A witness called the station to report a male stealing metal from a building on East Main Street. Investigation in on-going.

May 15, 2013 - A Berwick man was taken into custody on a warrant out of Columbia County during a domestic dispute on Railroad Street.May 28, 2013 - A Glen Lyon man was arrested after breaking into a West Main Street house and steeling copper and base board heaters. Upon arrival the male fled from Police on foot. After searching the area with assistance from the Nanticoke Police Department, the male was taken into custody at his West Main Street residence.

May 30, 2013 - A warrant was issued for a Glen Lyon man after he forced his way into a residence and assaulted a female tenant and stole a knife before fleeing before police arrived.

WANAMIE

May 15, 2013 - A Shickshinny woman was taken into custody on a warrant out of our Department for stalking and harrassing a Wanamie woman.

May 27, 2013 - Charges were filed on a Nanticoke man and woman for recklessly endangering and endangering the welfare of a minor.

May 29, 2013 - A Wanamie man was arrested at his residence after assaulting a State Constable attempting to serve a warrant on him.

SHEATOWN

May 8, 2013 - A Sheatown woman was taken into custody on a warrant out of the Luzerne County Sheriff's Department.

May 9, 2013 - A Sheatown man was taken into custody on a warrant out of Adult Probation.

May 9, 2013 - A Nanticoke woman was taken into custody for public intoxication after Police received a phone call about an intoxicated woman near Magic World Day Care. The woman was also charged with resisting arrest, institutional vandalism and disorderly conduct.

May 10, 2013 - Police were notified of fencing stolen from around the Newport Cemetery. After an investigation, a Nanticoke man was arrested for the theft after selling the fencing to a local junk yard.

May 25, 2013 - An Exeter man was taken in custody for disorderly conduct after fighting with workers at the bazarr. While in custody the man kicked a police officer and vehicle. The man was also charged with Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats and Simple Assault.

ALDEN

RIDGEVIEW

May 9, 2013 - A Ridgeview man was taken into custody for public drunkenness and released to family members after he was found lying in a yard that did not belong to him.
