FEBRUARY 2013


GLEN LYON

February 12 - A Polaris UTV was stolen from an Arch Street residence. The UTV was recovered and the investigation is ongoing.

February 13 - A Spring Street residence reported that while he was gone for a week someone had entered his residence and stole his television.

February 21 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody on Spring Street for possession of a prohibited weapon due to having a sawed off shotgun in his possession.

February 22 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody during a traffic stop for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence.

February 28 - A juvenile female was cited with harassment and disorderly conduct after kicking another juvenile in the face after getting off the school bus.

WANAMIE

No incidents to report.

SHEATOWN

February 17 - Two juvenile males from Wilkes-Barre were found walking down Old Newport Street at 3 AM. They were transported to the Station and released to their parents.

February 18 - A Sheatown woman was taken into custody on a warrant after responding to an incident on Old Newport Street.

ALDEN

February 24 - A Pittston man was taken into custody for possession of heroin after responding to a call on East Kirmar.

JANUARY 2013


GLEN LYON

January 03 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody after he physicially assaulted his wife at their residence.

January 13 - A Wilkes-Barre man was taken into custody after he forced entry into his daughter's Glen Lyon residence and assaulted her.

January 14 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody after a break-in to an abandoned building on West Main Street in Glen Lyon. The bank that owns the residence refused to press charges. The man was lodged at Luzerne County Correction Facility due to a warrant by the Luzerne County Sheriff's Department.

January 24 - A Glen Lyon man was taken into custody due to an immigrations warrant and transferred over to Homeland Security.

January 30 - A Glen Lyon resident was taken into custody after she forced entry into her neighbor's home on Newport Street in Glen Lyon and stole prescription medication.

WANAMIE

January 04 - A Nanticoke man was taken into custody on a warrant by New York State Probation, during a search warrant at a Wanamie residence.

January 31 - A Wanamie man was arrested on charges for failing to register under Megan's Law.

SHEATOWN

January 23 - A Sheatown man was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance at his Old Newport Street residence. The man physically assaulted his autistic stepson.

ALDEN

January 12 - An Alden man was taken into custody on a traffic stop in Alden due to a warrant by the Luzerne County Sheriff's Department.

January 17 - Newport Township Police responded to an East Kirmar residence for the report of a theft. The resident stated that a woman she knows had stolen a diamond ring from the residence. Investigation is ongoing.

January 18 - Newport Township Police responded to an East Kirmar residence for the report of a burglary. Someone had forced entry into the residence, nothing was taken.

January 23 - Newport Township Police responded to an East Kirmar residence for the report of a burglary. Someone had forced entry into the residence and stole jewelry. Investigation is ongoing.

January 31 - An Alden man reported that a roommate had stolen $4400 from him on December 18, 2012. Investigation in ongoing.

January 31 - A report was made that a handgun was stolen out of a pick-up at a business on the West Kirmar Parkway.

January 31 - A Glen Lyon man was arrested during a traffic stop in Alden due to a warrant by the Luzerne County Sheriff's Department.
