We met on a mountain top

Where the peak kisses the sky,

Just as the sun was setting,

Bidding another day goodbye.

Peaceful, sweet winds blew,

Touching softly upon my skin

As I heard a tender voice,

Guiding me straight to Him.

I followed without question

And, with His heart still calling mine,

I knew this was my Jesus

And I knew the love I'd find.

Slowly He came into view,

Robed in glowing white,

His palms showing His wounds

As He brought the stars of night.

So quiet was the moment

As we stood there face to face

While His grace so gently flowed,

Blessing that sacred place.

This man, my Jesus,

As close as a breath,

There to bring me peace,

There to give me rest.

Not one word spoken,

Just loving heart to heart,

Then I knew, I finally knew,

He had seen me in the dark.

His arms opened to me,

A tear fell upon His chest,

Never had I felt so cared for,

Never had I felt so blessed.

This man, my Jesus,

Crying for my pain

While holding me in love

And calling me by name.

The sweet winds blew

While my heart met with His

And I felt the meaning of love

And what true love really is.

Peace then came to me,

Rest found my soul,

And there in the arms of Jesus,

At last I felt whole.
