I've learned from raising my sons that to honor your parents will also mean that you honor your elders.

  Since my oldest son is 19 I've seen the different attitudes that young people have when they interact with their elders.

  Those who honor their parents also will show more respect for other adults.

  Those who do not honor their parents I feel tend to be a "me me" type of person.

  Not knowing their boundaries in conversations or general life issues as well.

    Do you remember when all children called their friends parents by Mr. or Mrs.?????
