Tis the season to be happy and jolly, hopeful and joyful, kind and giving, and peaceful.

Tis the season to see white fluffy snow softly falling and jingle bells ringing.

For this is Christmas time.

We wait with joyful anticipation of Santa's arrival.

Santa is old but he keeps us in excitement of his coming year after year.

He brings gifts, wrapped in shiny paper with bows and ribbons, but it depends on if we have been ''naughty or nice''.

He watches our behavior to see if we are deserving of our gifts and what he will bring us.

So it is with hope and excitement and fear we wait for our gift from the jolly old fellow.

We are also threatened that he won't bring us anything if we are bad.

So will Santa Claus come, or not?

Some of our expectations of our gifts are met while others or not.

Santa claus comes from the North Pole flying through the sky with his reindeers, leaving the night of December 24th.

We leave popcorn, cookies, pop, chocolate, for him when he arrives at our home late in the night for it's a long journey from the North Pole.

He needs to be fortified in order to go from house to house.

On the morning of december 25th, we awaken with excitement to go get our gifts.

Unwrapping our gift we feel happiness at what we have received.

Santa's gifts bring happiness for a day and a period of time to come.

There are some people who have made the long trek journey to find the North Pole.

Some have succeeded but many more had to turn back, for the journey was just too much of a hardship.

The North Pole has been marked in different places, but there is no defined agreement on the degrees of its location.
