O.K....
I know I was never the smartest man in the world....almost...but no...and after I had the brain bleed, It slowed me down a bit more, but....Nothing could have prepared me for the early months of 2007 that provided more tears, excitement, decisions, and every other emotion that a human could have...and then some I had never heard of before...
Mom was going through her I don't get enough attention to I want ALL of the attention to I don't want any attention and I don't care if the LORD TAKES ME AWAY....
I tried to explain to her that GOD doesn't take you away when you get ready...it is when HE gets ready...and YOU HAD BETTER BE READY when He gets ready....ANYWAY, if I don't go into UPLIFTERLAND right now, I think I am going to be sick....SO.....UPLIFTERLAND...take me away.......
A typical day in 2007, say around APRIL...
I am softly awaken by my heavenly clock that chimes to the tune of "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?"
I look in the mirror and snap my finger and I am dressed and every hair on my head, tongue and kneecaps is in place.
Holley has been up at least two hours and the house smells so good and the dogs are groomed and the cats and laying with the dogs and there is so much peace in Our little home that I look around for tombstones...
Mom has made breakfast for everyone, T-REX is eating cereal and sitting quietly watching LAZYTOWN on TV.
We open the curtains and discover that the sun has an actual smile on it's face and the cute white clouds look like edible marshmallows... ahhhhh....I keep looking in the mirror so long it finally talks to me and says, "YOU CAN'T BEAT PERFECT..ENJOY YOUR DAY!"
...SO...I move on, smiling and aware that I have to be one of the top ten best looking men in all of my little community...
I hear a noise and mom has the sweeper and is cleaning up a mess that somehow T-REX must have made, and she is whistling some old cowboy song and laughing even though the sweeper has gotten clogged and she is manually blowing out the object that is blocking the finishing of her project.
....OK OK...bring me back...reality again comes floating in like a bus late for a tour...
Our newest project outside Our home is reburbishing mom's homeplace so we can sell it and move back to East Coast and be with My Wonderful New kinfolk that I love with all my heart...
This will happen in God's Time, not even Uplifterland can do alot to speed it up.
There are many things to be done from remodeling, cleaning, and the sale of the home so we can have money to finding somewhere new for Us to live once we move there.
I take one more glance into Our mirror while not in Uplifterland mode and I have to take extra blood pressure meds because the fright is so hard shaking...
I think I need another short visit to Uplifterland....TAKE ME AWAY!!!!...
As Holley and I drive over to Mom's Homeplace we are met with a traffic jam in front of the street that turns off to mom's house.
We get out of the car and start walking and realized that Habitat-For-Life has taken over and said for Us to just stand by for a little bit and they would have it turned into a 100,000 dollar house in hardly anytime at all.
Holley and I are so excited we start jumping up and down, screaming with delight, and cause a major tremor in Arbyrd that wakes all 12 people up and they realize they now live just outside of Our town and they can hear the celebration--so they truck right on down and join in.....
So...With the whole population of Arbyrd, all the HFA workers, and Us...We have this giant party, create a new dance, Holley and I appear on national televison and get asked by Howie Mandell if we want to play as a Couple on DEAL OR NO DEAL......
We say Yes and just about the time we about to pick our case, I wake up and realize I was not in UPLIFTERLAND, I was only dreaming....
But both Holley and I know that God has a way of making Our Unselfish dreams come true....
