Hi Everyone. Our trip today has some very special things to see.
This trip has been requested to visit Sweetwater, Tennessee.
Sweetwater is a city in Monroe and McMinn counties in the U.S. state of
Tennessee. The population was 5,764 at the 2010 census. It was
incorporated in 1875.
Sweetwater is located along Sweetwater Creek and in a valley amidst
the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, and is surrounded by
farmland.
Sweetwater is the home of the Craighead Caverns which contains the Lost
Sea, the United States' largest underground lake.
As of 1989, most of the economy consisted of agriculture business. In
addition, some light industry is located in Sweetwater, including a
chemical factory, a hosiery mill, and a stove plant. A new
Walmart Supercenter opened on September 11, 2013 and added 200 jobs
to the Sweetwater area.
January is normally the coldest month with average temperatures between
29 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. July is normally the warmest month
with average temperatures between 66 and 90 degrees F. March seems
to be the rainiest month with an average of 5.3 inches, and a
yearly average of 50.8 inches of rain. January and February are
the snowiest month with an average of 2.2 inches, and a yearly
average of 7.2 inches of snow.
