Sochi is a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located on the Black Sea
coast near the border between Georgia/Abkhazia and Russia. Sochi sits
along the shores of the Black Sea near the Caucasus Mountains.
According to the 2010 Census, the city had a permanent population of
343,334, making it Russia's largest resort city. It is one of the
very few places in Russia with a subtropical climate, with warm to hot
summers and mild winters.
January and February are the normally the coldest months with average
temperatures between 37 and 51 degrees Fahrenheit. August is normally
the warmest month with average temperatures between 69 and 84 degrees
F. November tends to be the rainiest month with an average of 7.91
inches, and a yearly average of 67.05 inches of rain. I don't have
information on how much snow they get.
