Hi Everyone. Today, we are going to the city of Miyazaki, which is on
the island of Kyushu. It looks like a beautiful place.
Miyazaki is the capital city of Miyazaki Prefecture on the island of
Kyushu in Japan. It is located on the coast and crossed by several
rivers. Miyazaki enjoys scenic views of both ocean and mountains.
It is a popular resort destination. The city offers many
attractions, along with the beaches. The city is the primary shopping
destination for eastern Kyushu residents in smaller towns around the
prefecture. The city was founded in 1924.
January is usually their coldest month with average low being 37
degrees Fahrenheit and average high being 55 degrees (F). July is the
usually the warmest month with the average high temperature being 88
degrees (F) and average low being 75 degrees (F). Average
temperatures now, in October, would be between 59 and 76 degrees (F).
There are 9 cities in the Miyazaki Prefecture. (A prefecture is like
our state counties.) The cities are Ebino, Hyuga, Kobayashi, Kushima,
Miyakonojô, Miyazaki (capital), Nichinan, Nobeoka, and Saito. The
reason I gave all the names of the cities is because some of the
pictures are from those areas.
I just want to mention that I do not read or speak Japanese. There is
some writing on a couple of the pictures, and I hope they aren't
anything inappropriate. I hope you enjoy this trip to Japan.
