AMALFI COAST, ITALY
9/28/13
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful stretch of mountainous coastline
south of Naples. The southern end of the Bay of Naples
stretches out in a rocky peninsula. The southern side of
the peninsula is dotted with picturesque villages and towns clinging
to cliffs, which is known as the Amalfi Coast.
The coastal road along the Amalfi Coast is famous for
its hairpin bends and fantastic views. The busy road winds
along the cliffs, giving glimpses of the blue sea directly
below. The towns are all built at a very steep
angle, and the streets zigzag backwards and forwards along the
slopes. You could take a bus or a ferry
to get to the Amalfi Coast, also.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit to the
Amalfi Coast of Italy.
