Hi Everyone. Today's trip is to Anna Maria Island, Florida, USA.
Anna Maria, is a city in Manatee County, Florida, United States. The
population was 1,503 in 2010. The city occupies the northern part of
Anna Maria Island and is one of three municipalities on the island.
The others are Holmes Beach in the center and Bradenton Beach in the south.
Anna Maria Island is a seven mile barrier island located in the southern
Gulf Coast area of Florida and is renowned for its white sand beaches
and clear water. Anna Maria is the northernmost of a string of
barrier islands that extend in a southerly direction to the Florida
Keys. The Island itself is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the
west, Tampa Bay to the north and Sarasota Bay and Anna Maria Bay on
its eastern shores.
The city of Anna Maria is 1 square mile. Anna Maria has a tropical type
climate. February is the coolest month with average temperatures
between 52 and 71 degrees Fahrenheit. July is the warmest month with
average temperatures between 75 and 93 degrees F. July is also the
rainiest month with an average of 9.28 inches, with a yearly total of
41.05 inches. There is no snowfall.
