ONLINE VACATION

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

1/29/14

Hi Everyone. Today's trip is to a place that I saw briefly on a
television program, but I don't know much about it. So, let's
learn about it together. We are going to Prague, Czech
Republic. It has some amazing buildings.

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is
also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west
of the country on the Vltava River, the city is home to about 1.3
million people.

Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions. Main
attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town
Square, the Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Wall and Petřín hill.

The city has ten major museums, along with numerous theatres,
galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. A modern public
transportation system connects the city. Also, it is home to
Charles University.

January is normally the coldest month with average temperatures between
22 and 33 degrees Fahrenheit. July is normally the warmest month
with average temperatures between 53 and 74 degrees F. Their
record low was -18 and their record high was 100 degrees F. May is
normally the rainiest month with an average of 3 inches, and a
yearly average of 20.7 inches of rain. January is normally the
snowiest month with an average of 7 inches, and a yearly average of
28.1 inches of snow.

I hope you enjoy this trip to Prague, Czech Republic.
