BALI ISLAND, INDONESIA

9/30/13

Bali is located in the Indian Ocean. It is one of more
than 17,000 islands in the Indonesian archipelago.
The island, home to about 4 million people, is
approximately 90 miles from east to west
and 50 miles north to south.

Bali has varied landscape of hills and mountains, rugged
coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and
barren volcanic hillsides all providing a picturesque backdrop.
With world-class surfing and diving, and an enormous range
of accommodations, this is one of the world's most
popular island destinations and one which
consistently wins travel awards.

Daytime temperatures are pleasant, varying between 68-93⁰ F year-round.
From December to March, the west monsoon can bring heavy
showers and high humidity, but days are still often sunny
with the rains starting in the late afternoon or evening
and passing quickly. From June to September, the humidity is
low and it can be quite cool in the evenings.
At this time of the year there is hardly any
rain in the lowland coastal areas.

Some things to see in Bali, are many unique styled temples.
You will see them throughout the island. There are
several hot springs in Bali They are famous for their
spas and yoga. Of course, you can swim, fish and scuba dive.

You may see some cute little monkeys around the island.
Beware, they are thieves that steal sunglasses, cameras,
and any other small items they can get, including food.
It is advised that you do not feed them.

I hope you enjoyed our trip to Bali, Indonesia.
