Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria, and one of the
nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primary city and its
cultural, economic, and political center. It has a population
of 1,757,353.
Vienna is located in northeastern Austria, at the easternmost extension
of the Alps in the Vienna Basin. of the meandering Danube while The
city spans both sides of the Danube River. Elevation ranges from 495
to 1,719 feet. The city is close to the borders of the Czech
Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Vienna is host to many major
international organizations, including the United Nations and OPEC.
Vienna is regarded as the "City of Music" because of its musical legacy.
It is well known for having played an essential role as a leading
European Music Centre, from the great age of Viennese Classicism
through the early part of the 20th century. Music is one of Vienna's
legacies. Musical prodigies including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph
Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Gustav
Mahler and Arnold Schoenberg. Vienna is home to many fantastic
theaters, opera houses, museums and art centers.
Vienna is also said to be "The City of Dreams" because it was home to
the world's first psycho-analyst, Sigmund Freud.
The Historic center of Vienna is rich in architectural ensembles,
including Baroque castles and gardens, and the late-19th-century
Ringstrasse lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks.
January is normally the coldest month with average temperatures between
28 and 37 degrees Fahrenheit. July is normally the warmest month with
average temperatures between 68 and 80 degrees F. June tends to be
the rainiest month with an average of 2.8 inches, and a yearly average
of 24.4 inches of rain. January tend to be the snowiest month with an
average of 7.3 inches, and a yearly average of 26.9 inches of snow.

understand.
