OLD FASHION POTATO SOUP

INGREDIENTS:


8 medium- potatoes, cubed

4 cups milk

2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 tbsp. butter or margarine

1/2 cup flour

1 egg, well-beaten

2 - 4 tbsp. milk




DIRECTIONS:


Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender; drain.

Add 4 cups milk to potatoes, heat.

Blend in salt and pepper.

In a bowl, cut butter into flour; blend in egg and 2 - 4 tbsp. milk,
using only enough milk to make mixture thin enough to drop into hot soup.

Drop by tsp. into hot soup.

Cover, cook about 10 minutes.

Serve at once.

Makes 6 - 8 servings.
