ICE CREAM SALAD

INGREDIENTS

1 small box orange or lime jello

1 1/4 cup boiling water

1 pint vanilla ice cream

1 medium can crushed pineapple

1 can mandarin oranges




DIRECTIONS

Use 8x8 glass dish.

Dissolve jello in boiling water

Add ice cream.

Stir until melted

Put in refrigerator for 1/2 hour.

Drain pineapple and oranges

Add to refrigerated jello

Chill til firm.



Options:

Any flavor jello could be used.
Nuts may be added, if desired.
Other fruit could be substituted for oranges.
Recipe can be doubled and use 9x13 glass dish.
Flat glass dish works best for even and quicker chilling.
