CHOCOLATE CHIP CHERRY MUFFINS

INGREDIENTS:


2 cups self rising flour

1/4 cup chopped almonds

1 tsp. almond extract

1 egg

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped fresh sweet cherries

1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

2/3 cup buttermilk


DIRECTIONS:


Heat oven to 400ºF (205ºC).

Grease a muffin pan.

Combine egg, brown sugar and almond flavoring.

Stir in flour, almonds, butter, buttermilk, cherries and chocolate chips.

Bake 20 - 25 minutes.

Cool in pan 5 minutes.
