BANANA SPLIT TRIFLE

INGREDIENTS:


1 box Yellow Cake Mix or Angel Food Cake Mix

1 pkg. (large) banana pudding

3 large bananas, sliced

1-1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

1 can [6 oz.] crushed pineapple, drained
(save the juice to drink)

1 tub Cool Whip®, thawed

1 jar maraschino cherries, diced

1/2 cup pecans, chopped

1/4 cup chocolate syrup


DIRECTIONS:


Prepare and bake cake according to package instructions.
Make sure it’s completely cooled before assembling dessert.

Cut cake into bite-sized pieces.

Prepare pudding mix according to package instructions.

In a trifle dish or large salad bowl, layer 1/2 cake pieces for first layer.

Top cake pieces with 1/2 pudding, 1/2 bananas,1/2 strawberries, 1/2 pineapple, 1/2 Cool Whip,
1/2 Maraschino cherries, 1/2 chocolate syrup and 1/2 nuts.

Repeat all these steps with the remaining ingredients in same order.

Chill until ready to serve.

Makes 10 - 12 servings.

*Note: When assembling, don’t allow pudding to set completely before assembling,
so it will work its way in between cake pieces before it firmly sets.
