BACON CHEESEBURGER POTATO PIE

INGREDIENTS:


1-1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef

1/2 cup plain bread crumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tsp. yellow mustard

1/2 tsp. salt

2 cups mashed potatoes prepared

1/4 tsp. garlic salt

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 medium tomato, chopped

3 slices pre-cooked bacon, crumbled or 3 tbs. bacon bits

DIRECTIONS: Heat oven to 375ºF (190ºC).

Lightly brown ground beef and drain

Mix together mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese, garlic salt and bacon bits.

Press into greased 9" pie plate as the crust

Mix together drained ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, ketchup, mustard, and salt.

Put in pie plate on top of the mashed potatoes.

Bake for 15 minutes, then add tomatoes and bake 15 more minutes.

Remove from oven and 1/2 cup cheese.

Bake 5 more minutes until cheese is melted.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Makes 6 servings
