When Love Is Not Enough, the Lois Wilson Story, is a
2010 CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie directed
by John Kent Harrison and written by William
G. Borchert, who based the script on his
novel of the same name.

Lois Wilson is played by Winona Ryder. Lois, the
educated wife of "country boy" Bill Wilson
(Barry Pepper), was not the first women
to be married to a drunk.

Lois proved to be the pillar of strength that
allowed Bill to get sober and co-found
Alcoholics Anonymous, after which
she became the matriarch and
co-founder of Al-Anon
in 1951
