~~~ GARDEN TRACTOR PULL'N RULES ~~~

First time pullers Will Pull - Must meet regulations at Next Pull.

CLASS 1 - Stock. Kids 6-10 yrs old, up to 12 hp with 23/10.5/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 2 - Stock. Kids 11-14 yrs old, up to 12 hp with 23/10.5/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 3 - Stock. Kids 6-14 yrs old, up to 14-20 hp with 26/12/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 3g - GRAVELY. Kids 6-14 yrs old, with 26/10.5/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 4 - Stock. Adult, 15+ yrs old, up to 11 hp with 23/10.5/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 5 - Stock. Adult, 15+ yrs old, 12-16 hp with 23/10.5/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 6 - Stock. Adult, 15+ yrs old, 17-20 hp with 26/12/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 6g - GRAVELY. Adult, 15+ yrs old, with 26/12/12 or smaller tires.

CLASS 7 - Stock. Big Wheels, Kids 6-14 yrs old, up to 20hp with 16-24" tires, no larger than 8.3 x 24 or 9.5.

CLASS 8 - Stock Big Wheels. Adult 15+ yrs old, up to 20 hp with 16-24" tires, no larger than 8.3 x 24 or 9.5.

CLASS 9 - Super Stock. Adult 15+ yrs old. Kids under the age of 15 yrs old may pull at the approval of officials.

~ IMPORTANT ~
The age of the puller on May 1st will determine the class he/she will pull for the entire season.
~ NOTE ~
Tractors with factory stock 15" rims will be classed on an individual basis.
~ FYI ~
A 23/10.5/12 tire is 23" tall, 10.5" wide, and on a 12" rim. A26/12/12 tires 26" tall, 12" wide, and on a 12" rim.

~ GENERAL RULES --- ALL CLASSES ~

Children under the age of fourteen (14) will not be allowed in the pit except when pulling. If two or more are pulling with the same tractor, children waiting Must wait outside the pit.

1. NEW REQUIREMENT: All tractors from Class 1 to Super Stock "MUST Have Wheelie Bars".

2. A full pull is 8 feet. If you pull under 2 feet, you have the option to try again first round only. NOTE: Some pulls don't allow this.

3. Boundary lines will be 10 feet apart. If tractor or stone boat hits the boundary lines, the driver and the tractor will be disqualified.

4. NO JERKING THE STONE BOAT. You must tighten the chain before pulling.

5. Drivers must remain seated IN THE SEAT. Drivers must keep one hand on the steering wheel at all times while pulling. No leaning back further than the back edge of the seat.

6. ADULTS: Only one person, per tractor, per class. Two children from the immediate family, per tractor, may pull in the same class only if one tractor is used.

7. Kids 6-14 yrs old must be able to safely operate tractor to the satisfaction of our officials. Kids must also have an adult coach at ALL TIMES. Coaches must remain outside of the boundary lines at the time of the pull.

8. Officials will "class" and check all the tractors. Their judgments are Final.

9. No horseplay or alcoholic beverages allowed. No passengers on the tractor.

10. NO CHEATING ! - CHEAT ONCE - WARNING - CHEAT TWICE - MISS TWO PULLS - CHEAT 3 TIMES - KIDS OUT FOR THE SEASON - ADULTS OUT PERMANENTLY.

11. All tractors Must have clevis or a hole in the draw bar large enough to accept the hook from stone boat. Hole must be at least 2" diameter. Hitch shall be located 1" below center line of rear axle.

12. Class winners will be allowed to move up to the next class pull. They will COMPETE FOR FUN ONLY, NOT FOR RIBBONS.

13. The pulling committee and officials reserve the right to add any additional rules and correct any problems that happen at a pull.

14. After pulling, take your tractor directly to the truck or trailer and load it on. No driving around the fair grounds. No speeding through the fair grounds or parking areas.

15. Only GAS pump fuel permitted - No Aviation - Racing Fuel ! ! !

~ STOCK GARDEN TRACTOR RULES ~

1. Stock Garden tractors up to 20hp, 1 or 2 cylinders, gas. Engine cannot run over 3,600rpm.

2. All tractors shall be maintain original engine hp and number of cylinders. Any tractor not meeting engine requirements shall pull in SUPER STOCK.

3. ALL tractors must have a rigid draw bar height for BIG WHEELS, Classes 7 and 8 will be 12 inches from the ground - Economy tractors will have a stock hitch that was original equipment or one rebuilt to original specs. NO BOLT ON DRAW BARS BEHIND THE REAR AXLE.

4. NO LOCKED REAR ENDS PERMITTED - THOSE EQUIPED CAN NOT USE THEM - WE WILL BE WATCHING ! ! !

5. Wheel Weights - Classes 1 thru 8
a) 8" thru 12" (can be homemade) not to exceed 75 lbs per wheel
b) Big Wheels - Manufactured only - Not to exceed 140 lbs per wheel.
c) NOTE: Weights may be weighed any time at the discretion of an official. They must be removable.

6. Under mounted mowers are allowed. No chains over 10" long to hold mower deck to tractor. NO OTHER ATTACHMENTS.

7. No cut tires - No tire chains - No dual wheels - 4x4's - Crawlers - Steel Wheels - Pit Bulls - C-Pek's or professional pulling tires.

8. WHEELIE BARS - Must be strong enough to support tractor. Bars must be made of 2" sq. tubing, 1/8" thick, or flat stock, 1/4" x 2 1/4" max. brace 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/8" angle. Cross brace must not interfere with hitch or chain. Bars must not extend more than 4" behind the exterior of the tire, no more than 6 inches from the ground. They must have wheels or pads.

9. Cub Cadets: MUST have a shield to deflect any flying parts to the ground in event of a mishap. Shield must be made of 16 gauge steel or 1/2" aluminum and surround the clutch housing on top and both sides.

10. Gravely tractors shall have a flywheel shield of extruded/expanded steel or 1/8" thick plate no larger than 12" x 12". It will be installed to block the rear flywheel from hands.

11. Stock seats only. NO CAR OR TRUCK SEATS, BUCKET SEATS OR OTHERWISE.

10. DRIVERS MUST SIT IN THE SEAT - NO BOUNCING - ONE HAND ON THE WHEEL AT ALL TIMES - WE WILL BE WATCHING ! ! !

11. FLAGRANT VIOLATORS OF ANY RULES - WILL NOT PULL - PER DECISION OF THE OFFICIAL.

~ CLASS 9 SUPER STOCK RULES ~

1. Garden tractors up to 20hp, one or two cylinder, 4 cycle, gasoline engines. Engines must come from a Garden tractor.

2. Tractor shall run Gas pump fuel only. No racing, Alcohol or Aviation fuel permitted.

3. Engines shall be stock not modified.

4. Tractors must maintain the look/Sheet metal of a stock garden tractor.

5. Frame cannot be lengthened more than 4". Hood cannot be raised more than 3". Tractors must have wheelie bars that are strong enough to support the tractor. Wheelie bars must not extend 4" behind the exterior of the tire and will be no more than 6" from the ground. See Stock Tractor rules for requirements.

6. All tractors must have a rigid draw bar. Maximum draw bar height will be 14". Draw bars may not extend rearward more than 15" from the center of the axle. Rear engine tractors being the exception, with rigid draw bars being as close as possible to the engine.

7. Maximum engine RPM must not exceed 4000 RPM's and may be checked at any time. All tractors must have sufficient shielding of belts, chains, clutches, etc., to deflect any flying parts to the ground.

8. Any type of tire may be used. Tires can be modified. Maximum tire size will be 31/15.5/15. No dual wheels, tire chains or studs.

9. Super Stock tractors cannot pull in any other class. Tractor may not weigh more than 1700 lbs. with 31/15.5/15 tires, and 1800 lbs. with 26/12.5x12 tires. Weight may be added to achieve these weights.

10. All tractor weights be secured to the chassis so they can not fall off. Any weights that fall off, pull will be disqualified.

11. ANY TRACTOR NOT FULLY PASSING SAFETY INSPECTION SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PULL.

12. Pullers are asked to provide pictures of tractor on scale with ticket.

~ NOTICE ~
Super Stock tractors will be weighed. There will be a one time fee for the scale to be paid by the puller. Tractors may be rechecked at any time at a later pull at no fee, and at the discretion of the officials.
