People often review their Step Worksheets on their One Year Anniversary and notice how far they have come in their understanding of the disease of alcoholism addiction. You don't have to show these worksheets to anyone, they are to help you understand your personal experience with alcohol. However, you will probably want to "Discuss With Your Sponsor" some of the incidents on these worksheets.
The main 'Thought' in Step 2 is to suggest to you that a 'Lack Of Power' was our dilemma. If you are an atheist or agnostic, we had to find 'A Power' by which we could live, and it has to be a 'Power Greater Than Ourselves'. But 'Where and How' were we to find this Power? Well, that's exactly what this book is about... (Big Book, Pg. 45)
"When, therefore, we speak to you of God, we mean Your Own Conception of God. This applies, too, to other spiritual expressions which you find in this book. Do not let any prejudice you may have against spiritual terms deter you from honestly asking yourself what they mean to you.
