STEP ONE WORKSHEETS

*Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc., has neither endorsed, nor are they affiliated with, the 'Composition or Distribution' of These Worksheets.

These Worksheets are only meant to be another tool in helping the alcoholic on his/her 12 Step Journey, to better understand the Basic and Simple approach to practicing the Steps, as they are ... 'Laid Out In The Basic Text Of The Big Book', Alcoholics Anonymous...

People often review their Step Worksheets on their One Year Anniversary and notice how far they have come in their understanding of the disease of alcoholism addiction. You don't have to show these worksheets to anyone, they are to help you understand your personal experience with alcohol. However, you will probably want to "Discuss With Your Sponsor" some of the incidents on these worksheets.

***The preceding "process" of Step One appears simple. Gut level permanence of sobriety, however, "develops slowly over a period of time" as the 12 Steps treat the 'underlying causes' of our compulsion to drink, while retraining us for "contented useful" lives.

These "One Day At a Time" DAILY Suggestions were passed down through the Fellowship over the years on how to 'Begin and End,' Your Day!

REMEMBER ... TRYING TO PRAY ... IS PRAYING !

'Today', My Morning Prayers may include:

---- Ask your Higher Power to please help me to stay away from a drink Today;

---- During the day try to listen and follow your conscience...;"

---- Also, attend at least 'One' AA meeting;

---- And talk to another alcoholic with 'Sponsor Level' sobriety;

'Tonight', My Evening Prayers may include:

---- Make a statement of 'Thanks' to your Higher Power Before Retiring at night ie; for helping me not to pick-up that first drink today, etc;

"KEEP IT SIMPLE" ... ONE DAY AT A TIME!

"REMEMBER"...
THERE IS A SOLUTION, THE SOLUTION IS SIMPLE,
THE SOLUTION IS . . . 'SPIRITUAL'!!!
