Christmas Toyland

Christmas time is when the house turns into Toyland for us kitties! I'm hoping to get some new toys on Christmas, maybe a new Charmer or feather toy, a honeysuckle pillow, catnip mousies of course, and soft little balls, and..... well, I'll ask Santy Claws about all that.



Meanwhile, our meowmies are busy dragging out all sorts of wonderful toys for us! Package bows in all sizes to bat around, lovely rolls of ribbon for chewing on (the curly kind tastes the best) crinkly foil balls that make fascinating crackle sounds, maybe some soft little ornaments like we have, and foil that had candy in it rolled into little balls. Those are hard to find, so stay close to your meowmie if anybody gives her candy, or the next time she gets up, she'll go throw them all away before you can get one!



Then there's wrapping paper and tissue paper (yum) - these are so lotsa fun to roll around on and crumple up. Besides, tissue paper (yum) is one of my fafurite snacks. The little gift tags are great to lay in and wiggle, cause they scatter all over so easy. If you're lucky, there might be fancy gift bags big enough for you to get in and play hidey. We had a snowman bag one year, that I jumped in and out of so many times, it got ummm... a little worn out. Which worked out purrfect, cause then it was officially MY snowman bag. A word about that scotch tape, though. It's furry interesting to sniff, but don't get it stuck to your mouth. It doesn't taste good anyway.

If your meowmie addresses Christmas cards on the big table, all that stuff is heaps of fun to play in! Oboy, there's cards and envelopes and lists and papers, stickers and stamps and best of all, pens! Pens are furry rolly. I love to roll the pens across the table till they fall off. Then you can go push them under the fridge if you wants to.

There's lots of forbidden stuff around, too. Some of it is fair game - except No Plants! Plants are not toys, they will make you sick! Candles are not toys, they will burn you! And candles don't taste good anyway. But cinnamon bread wrappers..... well, no, those will get you in trouble too, take my word for it. There's plenty of other great stuff! Use your imagination, kitties, and look at all the wonderful new toys all around you this holiday season! It's Toyland!
