American Crime Group: Custom Banners
So you want to make yourself a CUSTOM banner for the American Crime Group, do ya?? Well, you've come to the right place!
You'll need something to take notes on, so I'll wait while you go get that...(whistles: Bob Seger's "Turn The Page")...got it? Good! Here we go...
I'm going to need some information from you in order to build your custom banner, information like: color(s), font style & text (what you want the banner to say), size(s), & more -- below is a color chart for your convenience, as well as my collection of fonts, & you'll have to study them to make your choices & write those choices down for me.
Ok...sizes: standard banner size is 460 pixels wide (this is the width of a regular e-mail signature), & the height will depend on how many words or lines you want to use -- each line is about 40 pixels tall (I'll have to figure out how tall to make the final product) -- you can also have a frame around your banner if you want, which will come in three sizes: thin, medium, or thick (or none). Please specify.
Next, I'll need the colors you want for your banner. Background (BG) color: This is the color that the text / words will sit on -- you can also have a transparent BG, in which case the color of your sig will show through & become your banner's BG color. In this case, you should choose light colored text for dark BGs, or dark colored text for light BGs. This is important, because you'll want your banner to be easy to read! For non-transparent BGs, state a BG color & text color(s).
Use this color chart, & write down the color NAME(s) you want to use. Specify background color, & text color(s).
Example: BG color: black; text color: darkorange.
Now that we know sizes & colors, let's choose text -- WHAT do you want your banner to say? It should start out with "American Crime Group" on top, but this is YOUR banner (note: banner MUST have the word "Crime" on it, to link to the Crime group) -- you can choose 1, 2, or maximum 3 lines of text...& the language of the text must NOT be offensive (according to our Posting Guidelines)!
Text should be no more than four or five short words per line, & three lines maximum. Once you've decided this & written it down, we'll move on to what FONT you want to use.
My font collection is fairly limited, so you can choose from what I have or supply your own -- to do that, you MUST send me the URL of a .ttf (true-type font) file, OR, give me the name of a font that is located at one of the several Image-Magick Studios (please specify which font name, & which I-Magick that carries it). If you choose one from MY collection below, just give me the NAME of the font that you want me to use. (Click on each font name to view the 'CharSet', or letters & numbers. You do NOT need to choose the .ttf file URL).
(Once you have the font name you want, write it down).
Now that you have all the basics down, you can also send an image (URL) that you want to use on your banner -- the image should be about 100 pixels square (100x100), but I can resize it to make it fit -- it can be a .gif or a .jpg, but it should NOT be animated unless it's SMALL (about 50x50 pixels)...the reason for this is so that I can keep the over-all banner weight under about 20kbs., for faster loading. All banners will be optimized as much as possible, for the same reason.
Now that you have all the information I need, simply send it to me at the link below -- delete whatever is in the subject-line, & put in "I Need A Crime Banner!" -- I will contact you soon afterwards with any questions I may have, or an estiate of when you can expect to receive your banner. Feel free to ask me any questions at that time, or describe any other details not mentioned here.
