Testimony of Lissa and Bobby
Bobby got out of jail on Feb.23, and has not touched a drop of alcohol since and I just give GOD all the praise and all of the glory for it!!!!!!!!! My husband even told me the other day that he thanks GOD everyday for taking the bottle away from him. He is not saved yet but I know it is coming, I don't know when but I KNOW it is coming!!!!!!! So please continue to pray for us. He just went back to work last Thursday after being out of work for 3 weeks cuz of an old injury that is causing him major pain. But GOD answered that prayer so he's now back to work ,My choir group at church is praying that GOD will be on Bobby's mind so hard and on his heart that he will not even be able to sleep and that is fine with me!!!
Let me explain how GOD answered that prayer for him to go back to work. After 3 weeks of being out of work I finally got him to the ER cause we couldn't afford the clinic bill. The reason he quit work is almost 5 years ago he had to wear an external fixator for 3 months cause his tibia bone was shattered. He still has 3 screws in his knee now. It felt as if you could feel one of the screws on the outside of his leg, so he thought with the pain and all something was going majorly wrong. But Praise the LORD what ever was wrong GOD healed it back to the way it was after the accident.
Anyway he had called the temp agency he was working for to see if there was anyway he could get his job back later on that Tuesday afternoon when we got home. The lady told him she would call him back. Well by 11:50 the next day when she had not called him he called her. He was told that his job position had already been filled and they were also worried about his knee, which is understandable since that is why he quit.
Me being only human just got so overwhelmed, our lights were getting ready to be turned off, we have clothes coming out of the bazooka that has to be washed, and our gas bill has to be paid, my sticker on my van is expired, there was almost no gas in the van, the list just goes on.
I took our son to the associate Pastor's house to play with his son. His wife asked me how I was doing and I just went to pieces. She prayed for us and asked GOD to show me a sign that day that he was working. They only live 2 blocks away. I had left her house and got to the stop light by our house and my brother called me and told me not to give up on Bobby yet. Then I asked him what was he talking about. He told me then that the lady from the temp agency had called and Bobby's supervisor wanted him to go to the plant and talk to him. When I took Bobby to the plant , as he was walking to the door I was praying and just thanked GOD for all HE is doing in our lives. A few Minutes later he walked back out and said he had to go to the temp agency to take a drug test, and he went back to work the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now mind you this was within 2 blocks that GOD answered this prayer.
Friday morning about 6:00 AM there was a knock on our front door, there was a neighbor there saying our front porch was on fire. There is a whole in the porch big enough for my 4 year old or 7 year old to fit thru. So he also saved our home and our lives, the fire was right at our bedroom wall and window. PRAISE GOD that he sent our neighbor over at that time.
Also, the associate Pastor's wife called me Friday and said that some one told her to ask me if we were still in need of a washer and I told her yes Ma'am I sure was. Friday evening about 6:30 the associate pastor asked me if anyone would be home within the next hour or so and I told him yes. Then he asked if Bobby could hook up a washer. When I got home, there was also a brand new washing machine sitting in our yard. So GOD has been showering us with blessings. PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!! He is so good all the time, and all the time He is good. And my brother also lives with us and he also went to work Friday at another plant. Praise GOD !!!!!!! I just give HIM all the praise and the GLORY.
