In silent currents swift and strong;
A love that reaches everywhere
In gentle blessings ~ that is prayer.
Unuttered longings that is heard
Before the sound of spoken word;
Courage to do and strength to dare
Meekly and humbly ~ that is prayer.
Desire made holy; hope on wings;
The calm sweet trust that leaves all things
To wise God's unfailing care:
This quiet confidence is prayers.
