LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS
Do you remember when you learned
(Perhaps when very small?)
That love came down at Christmas ~
And that's what saved us all?
The Angels and the Wise Men ~
Shepherd's watching flocks by night.
They saw this Heavenly wonder ~
They followed by the light.
For God had set each wonder ~
Everything was put in place.
He sent a little baby down
Who was His saving grace.
A little child named Jesus ~
Came down on Christmas Eve.
They laid him in a manger ~
Do you think the world believed?
Could anyone but God have known ~
That this was His own Son?
Whom He loved so dearly
He shared with everyone!
The child soon grew into a Man
Disciples followed Him and knew ~
This was the Lord's own "Promise".
He shared with me and you!
I wish I could have been there.
(But that was long ago).
When Christ came down at Christmas
He came to save my soul!
He also came to save you ~
You children who believe.
God sent His love overflowing ~
And it was Christmas Eve.
