Being needed brings joy and is ever strong
In keeping our hearts flooded with song!
May the Lord ever give me others to help,
Not lay me aside on an unused shelf!
Let me never grow weary, lazy or slack ~
For bread cast on waters surely comes back
And the pittance I give, His grace multiplies
Making rich my soul 'fore it shrivels and dies!
For no goodness I do enriches GOD,
Our giving to Him, a useless job.
His desire ~ we help His dear ones on earth,
This way we do show we are putting Him first!
It's this giving to others, this giving of love,
That's surely what pleases our sweet Lord above.
Serving others for Him, brings joy and earned rest.
The life we find then ~ the life that is best!
