Keep on Trying



Try again ~ a little bit harder ~
When you fail to reach your goal
That is graced by love of Jesus
And salvation for your soul,
Don't resign yourself to pining,
Just because you tried and failed,
Try again ~ a little bit harder~
With new efforts to prevail.

No one ever gets to Heaven
Who gives up before a race,
Or is lacking spunk or spirit
Newer efforts to embrace
For the Lord bewails all quiters,
Who give up on Christian goals
That reward their life with blessings
And salvation for their souls.

Just keep trying and keep trying
Til you reach the noble end
That is graced by love of Jesus
and the glories He attends;
Do not quit, in resignation,
After one attempt has failed;
Try again ~ a little bit harder~
With new efforts to prevail.
