Life's Great Sea
When I am down in doldrums,
I'm drawn to the sea,
where there the scales of nature
Seem to balance me.
The fish in their habitat,
The shells along the shore,
Provide a healthy climate,
Where I can thrive once more.
The sea gulls gang around me,
Like a group of friends,
And as I smile among them,
My sorrowful spirit ends.
As guided by an unseen force,
Which one can't see or hear,
When cast adrift on Life's Great Sea,
I know my GOD is near.
