GOD grant me courage with each new day
To do what's right in every way,
To admit an error or apologize;
GOD grant me courage to do what's wise.
GOD grant me courage so I won't fail
To do each task along life's trail,
Uphold the truth, denounce the wrong;
GOD grant me courage that I'll be strong.
GOD grant me courage to protect the weak,
To ease the burdens of those who seek,
To share with others and faith proclaim
GOD grant me courage to have no shame.
GOD grant me courage so I may be
Able to face what comes to me,
Whatever ordeal, large or small;
GOD grant me the courage to bear them all.

To accept my fate, to smile not frown,
