GOD'S MEETING HOUSE

I was 50 yrs old when I accepted Jesus into my heart and life. When I was about 57, I realized that God wanted me to be a preacher. At that age, I felt that I was too old to go into the ministry. However, God knew differently. He came to me in so many different ways when I had a thought that age mattered. I started studying with The Berean School of the Bible, a correspondence school of the Assemblies of God. In the meantime, my wife passed away after surgery.   Then I found that God works His will, one way or another.

Two weeks before Christmas in 1974, I knew I would probably complete my ministerial education and I was having a prayer session in which I asked God to send me a good Christian wife. My daughter, Penny, was about 10 yrs old at the time.   One week later, Flora was visiting in Ohio about 70 miles away. A neighbor lady, Mary, who was only a passing acquaintance, knew Flora since she (Mary) was a little girl. She went down and brought Flora up to her home. The next day she brought her over to meet me.

It was a case of love at first sight and we were married on Feb. 20, 1975. The Lord had answered my prayers more quickly than I could ever imagine. We went on to a full life serving Jesus Christ and holding services all over the country, with Flora (having sung in churches and on the radio almost all her life) doing special singing. Don't ever feel that God cannot use you when you get older. God didn't say to retire when I was 65. I am now 87 & Flora will soon be 85.

God keeps opening doors of ministry and when He does, we will walk through. All praise and glory goes to Him because we couldn't have done it without Jehovah God and Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords leading and guiding us. GOD BLESS ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE
