GLEN LYON
October 07 - Police arrested a Shickshinny man for controlled substance DUI after he was operating a vehicle under the influence of heroin and methamphetamine. He was stopped because he was crossing in and out of oncoming traffic.
October 10 - Police received information about people illegally dumping in the area of Pipe Road in Glen Lyon. Police went to investigate and cited a Nanticoke male and female for illegal dumping of household garbage. They were cited with the max fine and plead guilty.
October 18 - Police arrested a Glen Lyon man for domestic violence after he assaulted his wife on Rock Street.
WANAMIE
October 02 - Police arrested a Wilkes Barre man for DUI after he was observed driving on the wrong side of the West Kirmar Parkway.
October 19 - Police cited a Glen Lyon juvenile for criminal mischief after he was observed tipping over a Porta John at the Wamamie Rec Park.
October 21 - Police arrested a Hanover Township man for DUI after he passed a marked patrol vehicle in a posted no passing zone on the West Kirmar Parkway.
SHEATOWN
October 03 - Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident near RK Furs. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident fled the scene. He was later apprehended by police and charged accordingly.
October 08 - Police arrested an Alden man for DUI after he was observed driving in and out of the oncoming lane on Robert Street.
October 11 - Police took an Alden man into custody on a domestic relations warrant on Old Newport Street.
ALDEN
October 23 - Police arrested a Mountain Top man for DUI after he was observed driving in the oncoming lane and did not use proper turn signals when turn onto Alden Mountain Road.

GLEN LYON
NOTE: Not included in this report for September was the domestic dispute next to me at 49 Coal Street. Resident's boyfriend broke down her cellar door and her bedroom door around 4:00 AM. This happened around the second or third week of September. Police told him to leave the residence. He returned the next morning and was arrested.
September 03 - Police arrested a Glen Lyon man for public drunkenness when he was observed overly intoxicated in a public place.
September 06 - Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on East Main Street. The female driver was arrested for DUI.
September 09 - Newport Township police assisted Nanticoke police with the apprehension of a burglar that was stealing copper from Rentko's Catering on Prospect Street.
September 15 - Police were dispatched to 5 East Main Street in Glen Lyon for a burglary. The owner found that a flat screen television was stolen from the residence.
September 25 - Newport police and members of the Attorney General's Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on 9 Arch Street in Glen Lyon. Two people were arrested for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. 801 bags of heroin and crack cocaine were found in the home along with packaging materials.

SHEATOWN
September 08 - Police arrested a Wilkes Barre man for false identification to law enforcement after he gave responding officers false information. The male also had a warrant out for his arrest, most likely the reason for the false information.
September 22 - Newport police, along with Nanticoke police and the Attorney General's office executed a search warrant on a home on Alden Road. A methamphetamine lab was discovered and the resident was arrested for operating the lab.
ALDEN
September 09 - Police arrested an Alden man for domestic violence after he was observed beating his live in girlfriend. He was also pepper sprayed and charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault after he attempted to assault responding officers.
