THE BEGINNING OF THE END

My husband was a full of life person with a delightful sense of humor. Let me tell you more before my journal begins.....

INTRODUCING.........
Mr & Mrs Charles Chapman

We were married back in the 50's..that magical era...He was a cute 20 yr old redhead & I was a cute (ahem) l8 yr old fresh out of high school..girl. We had gone together for l l/2 years before deciding to say "I do". That "I do" lasted 40 years through good times...& tough times. After 7 years a cute little redheaded boy came along..& l9 months later a beautiful baby girl.... We named them Randy & Sandy (how original)... My husband was a Truck mechanic almost all his life..never afraid of hard work...Also a member of DAV..a disabled veteran...He always kept us laughing..I miss that most of all.... He had to retire at age 40 due to emphysema..a few years after that he went into a 3 day coma which destroyed some of his brain cells leaving him with short term memory loss....He asked me the same questions over & over literally hundreds of times..I answered them over & over....but when he kept asking where his mom was & I had to tell him she died again & again & the grief was so fresh for him each time it broke my heart. Oh now about me..I'm a Christian...attend a good Baptist Church .....Retired from Social Security (Govt) where I worked for years.. Oh also a fan of Mr Billy Ray Cyrus who called me after my Chuckie died.....when I was at my lowest point in life.....
