3) Title thread: copy/paste - change date & if holiday .. Add correct span of dates

Time to ping the list.
We have an official PING post for those who don’t‘ know HTML or just want to use something “official/generic“ & easy. You will just copy & paste the info into the box... A different one for each day.. You & your partner might develop some little clever “whatever“ to use. Above or below it to go with your theme .. That is great. If you have pix on your profile page I can work up a graphic for you.. If you give me a day or so notice, I can try to do what you would like.. Just give me the ideas/guidelines etc. I will have a separate link to the ping list for you to use. I will keep it up to date.The list you are provided is READY to go. Copy & paste it onto the TO: column. The semicolons (;) are in place.
IMPT to please put on your ping that anyone wanting ON OR OFF should contact me (DollyCali). I for now am the official keeper of the list. If there are any additions/subtractions each week, I will .sent the updated list to you.
DO USE THE PROVIDED URLs FOR THE PINGS. ONE FOR EACH DAY..Friday, Sat, Sunday.If you want to add any names to the ping that is fine. It is your weekend thread & you should invite your friends to come over & play whether they are single or not.
I strongly suggest if you are going to be a regular host (and I hope you are) that you start a folder in “My Documents”called SINGLES. Any of the mailing I send you.. Please copy/paste to a word /word perfect/works document & title it & save it. Might include… but this is NOT an complete list.
Have one called ping list - One called URLs - One HTML etc. - etc. What works for you
You may already have this.
The thread is underway & by the time you have posted the ping list you will prolly already have several comments.

Especially welcome first time folks (I might develop a graphic to welcome them & if you are clever you can develop your own)
When I post big/busy threads I depend on my ping /comment page. I go there & one by one respond. +Keep an eye on flow of discussions.
Flirting etc is fun.. But watch that it doesn’t get overly heavy so as to make others uncomfortable. If comments start this way, send a Freepmail to poster. Be nice but state that we wish the thread to have a warm but positive & comfort level for all & that their comments are inappropriate.
If the comment is really over the top, request that THEY pull it.. If they don’t you as host/hostess feel completely confident to hit abuse button. It is your thread & you do not want most leaving because someone has taken over with things that many will find distasteful. PHOTOS are another area.. Fun & suggestive photos can be enjoyable… but again remember, this is Free Republic.. Not Playboy!
Now & then the weekend hosts might leave & yeah, it is good to have a life. They will hopefully state so early in thread & any other hosts who are around can help with the socializing & monitoring of the thread.
